Trusted Market Participants in the GHG Reporting and Offsetting Compliance Process
End of August next year ships have to comply with the new Shipping MRV regulation of the EU whenever undertaking voyages into, from or between EU ports.
Therefore we created for advisory services a cooperation with Tecnitas Central Europe, a subdivision of Bureau Veritas, the Classification Society.
The objective is to provide advisory services and verification services to shipowners under the name of "MRV Ready ".
The full service solution for shipowners and shipping companies consists of 2 pillars:
- 1. "MRV ready" = advisory service, preparing owners and operators for MRV ahead of time on how to best fulfill the forthcoming monitoring and reporting obligations. ETSverification is already long time active in aviation emission trading schemes and will be accredited for shipping MRV by the German Accreditiation Board (DAkkS).
- 2. Verification services: These services will be offered by BV in UK under accreditation by UKAS or by ETSverification GmbH. Both companies will carry out verification of monitoring plans, verification of emission reports and issuance of DoC for the concerned vessels. Both services have to be offered separatly from each other. Note that no verification body is allowed to advise and verify the same client.
