 CORSIA COMPLIANCE PACKAGE for States and Civil Aviation Authorities

About us

The ETSverification GmbH is a leading verification body specialized in auditing aviation emissions monitoring plans and annual reports. The German-based company has been working in the framework of EU Emissions Trading Scheme since 2010. The ETSverification GmbH has been accredited to provide verification services for aircraft operators by the German National Accreditation Body (DAkkS) according to ISO 14065:2013.

Global Aviation Expertise

We are a truly global company with our clients coming from more than 21 countries. Our greatest asset is our multinational team with more than 30 years of combined experience in fields of aviation and climate change. The ETSverification GmbH is a trusted partner of over 100 aircraft operators, cargo operators and flag carriers from all around the world.

Our CORSIA compliance package

The ETSverification GmbH has developed the comprehensive support service package that will enable States to fully implement the latest ICAO requirements related to the monitoring, reporting and verification of aviation emissions that will be effective from 1 January 2019 (the new Annex 16, Volume IV).

Awareness and training campaign

Bearing in mind that the concept of aviation emissions monitoring is new for most of the world (except the European Union Member States), our first step is to raise awareness of various stakeholders about the CORSIA requirements, and the requirements for the establishment of State and airline emissions monitoring, reporting, and verification systems.
The campaign includes the following actions:
  1. Communication of new requirements to all aeroplane operators that fall under the jurisdiction of the civil aviation authority and necessary follow-ups (the information about these operators have to be supplied by the client);
  2. Organisation of one-day-workshop with the following topics:
    • CORSIA introduction;
    • Emissions monitoring, reporting and verification requirements; and
    • Offsetting procedures.

Development of national CORSIA roadmap & regulation
ETSverification GmbH will assist civil aviation authorities to develop national CORSIA roadmap.
The roadmap creation process will include the following steps: assessment of the existing situation, gap analysis and options to achieve CORSIA compliance. Together with national CAA and other stakeholders, the ETSverification GmbH will produce the document that may consist of the proposed steps towards CORSIA compliance, draft proposal of national regulation including State and aeroplane operator reporting procedures, stakeholder engagement process, attribution of aeroplane operators to the State, establishment of framework for the accreditation of verification bodies, and training and required qualifications. ETSverification GmbH provides the support for the population of ICAO Compliance Checklist for this annex.

Implementation of national MRV system

Our offer includes the support for straightforward implementation of national monitoring, reporting and verification system for those States that have already undertaken some steps toward CORSIA compliance. ETSverification GmbH's offering includes the assessment of technical solutions for the development of MRV system namely: the assessment of procedures, competences software, and quality assurance system.

Audit of submitted monitoring plans

Depending on the available human resources and the number of local aeroplane operators, States may face the challenge to process, audit and approve CORSIA monitoring plans. Having in mind the vast experience in the framework of the CORSIA, ETSverification GmbH offers an effective and secure audit of submitted monitoring plans.

Our Independence always considdered

This service offering is addressed to states and competent authorities. At no point would we ever verify an emission report of an operator that has been consulted, directly or indirectly (through the state) by us.

For more information see our statement of independence.
