We offer verifications under UK-ETS for aircraft operators
Starting 01. January 2021, aircraft operators, formerly adminstered by the UK under EU-ETS must now comply with the UK ETS.
Not all aircraft operators must participate. Only those who are above the applicable exemption threshold and who have at least one flight falling under the UK ETS scope.
The exemption threshold is different depending on whether you have an AOC or not.
If you have an AOC, you are below the exemption threshold if your full scope emissions are below 10,000 t CO2 or if the number of full scope flights is below 243 per period for three consecutive four-month periods.
Without an AOC, you are below the exemption threshold if your full scope emissions are below 1,000 t CO2.We recommend to reach out to the State that administers your airline (usually the State which is mentioned in the ICAO designator or AOC) and inquire about the CORSIA annual emission report template and submission deadlines for this year.
If you need to comply with the UK ETS, you must monitor your aviation emissions for each scheme year and report your verified aviation emissions by 31 March in the following scheme year.
You must also surrender allowances equal to your verified aviation emissions by 30 April in the following scheme year.
Prior to to the submission of the report, the collected flight and emissions data has to be verified by an accredited verification body.
